About Julia

I am a Philosophy, Politics, and Economics graduate from the University of Oxford, having achieved three A*s at A-Level. I bring both strong academic experience and a practical understanding of what it takes to achieve top grades, and I tailor my lessons to each student’s strengths, weaknesses and goals. Beyond teaching the syllabus, I focus on developing the analytical, essay-writing and critical-thinking skills that underpin success in Politics.

I also offer conversational Politics sessions for students who want to deepen their understanding beyond the curriculum, explore political ideas in greater depth, or simply enjoy discussing current affairs and the issues shaping the world around them.

About the lesson

Lessons are relaxed, engaging and tailored to each student’s current level, exam board and target grade. For exam-focused students, we identify and address gaps in knowledge, strengthen exam technique and essay-writing skills, and build towards timed past-paper practice to develop the confidence and precision needed for top grades.

I also offer conversational Politics sessions tailored to the student’s interests, whether that is current affairs, political theory or exploring complex political ideas in greater depth. These sessions provide a relaxed space to ask questions, challenge ideas and develop confidence in discussing Politics beyond the syllabus.
