About Lewis
My name is Lewis Spencer-Ogg; I am an Oxford University graduate and current MA Law student training to be a solicitor.
Over my 6-years of tutoring, I have engaged with a wide variety of pupils, from students looking to reach passing grades all the way to Oxford and Cambridge admissions test takers.
I also have experience catering to a variety of neurodivergent needs having run Special Educational Needs sessions previously and being able to form some enriching and productive educational relationships in the process.
It will quickly become apparent that I have what I think of as an 'infectious' obsession with history which I do try to pass on to my students; however, I appreciate people have different interests.
Lastly, just on a more personal note, I am not only a history and law bookworm; I do have interests that are not purely academic. I used to play futsal for Oxford University and am a PADI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver. I also love a game of squash and always get overly fixated on the latest binge-worthy Netflix show.

I am a 21-year-old current MA Law student and an Oxford University history graduate.
I have been tutoring for 6-years, and over that time, I have sought to use not only my knowledge but also the experiences from personally being a student to engage my own students in the most dynamic and effective possible ways.
My lessons are typically one hour, and I like to take an adaptable approach to teaching as I appreciate every student responds to different teaching methods. Some students find more open tutorial-style sessions to be the most engaging as it is distinct from school and allows them to be a much freer thinker. Alternatively, many students prefer more familiar structured teaching where they can produce tangible notes. I am happy to cater to all needs!
I aim to not only improve my students in terms of grades directly but to instil my passion for history; ultimately, genuine interest is the best way to ensure top grades.
