About Natalie
Teaching has always been more than just a job for me—it’s a passion. I’m a former U.S. classroom teacher now living in Mackay, and I’m passionate about helping students grow in confidence and enjoy learning. Tutoring allows me to give each student personalized attention, creating a fun, encouraging, and safe space where they can ask questions, build skills, and develop a genuine love of learning. I especially enjoy those “aha” moments when a concept clicks and a student feels proud of their progress.

My tutoring approach is warm, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I believe learning works best when it feels achievable and engaging, so I use a mix of clear explanations, guided practice, and interactive activities to help students build both skills and confidence. A typical lesson runs for about 60 minutes, giving us enough time to review concepts, practice together, and check understanding without overwhelming the student.
I bring experience as a classroom teacher in the United States, where I worked with students across different ages and abilities, and I now specialise in helping primary students with foundational maths. My lessons are ideal for students who need extra support to catch up, want to extend their learning, or simply benefit from personalised attention in a one-on-one setting.
