My Teaching Approach:
As a tutor, I believe in making history feel alive and relevant. I focus on breaking complex topics into simple, digestible parts and using real-world connections to help students truly understand events and concepts. I tailor each session to a student's learning style—whether that’s visual aids, discussions, timelines, or practice quizzes.
Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the student already knows. We’ll then dive into a specific topic or time period, explore key themes and cause-effect relationships, and finish with practice questions or a short discussion to reinforce learning. I also help with AP-style writing and essay tips when needed.
What Sets Me Apart:
Though I’m a recent high school graduate, I’ve completed AP U.S. History and AP World History and understand how these courses are taught from a student’s perspective. I’m approachable, patient, and great at explaining ideas in a way that sticks. I focus on building confidence as well as content knowledge.
