About Nicole
I have recently graduated with a First-Class honours degree in Philosophy and History (BA) from the University of Southampton, and hope to go on to a career in education, journalism or writing. I found History particularly fascinating at university, especially because it showed me that the answers are not always as clear-cut as they seem. I aim to make my students genuinely interested in the subject, as I believe that is the best way to ensure learning- not just making them do work because they have to for school/for an exam! I have been tutoring for over two years now, meaning I have a good grasp of what students respond to, how to engage them, and how to ensure improvement in their performance.

As well as helping you understand the content, I will teach you essay writing techniques that ensure you meet the marking criteria, and will give feedback on any essay or exam question you write. I have always been a visual learner so have developed techniques that help me understand things in a more creative way, so whatever way you learn best, I can help! Lessons are typically between 1 to 2 hours long, and can be for any level up to (and including) GCSE.
