Hello! My name is Shirley, and I have many years of experience in education, student support, curriculum development, and working with learners from diverse backgrounds. I am passionate about helping students learn in a positive, encouraging environment.
I am patient, dependable, and committed to helping each student reach their individual goals. I understand that learning English can sometimes feel challenging, especially when speaking with others. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and confident as you improve.

My approach to teaching English is patient, practical, and personalized to each student’s needs. I begin by identifying the student’s current English level and goals, then create lessons that include conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, grammar, and writing as needed.
A typical lesson includes a short conversation, focused instruction, guided practice, and real-life examples that help students use what they have learned. I encourage students to speak as much as possible because confidence grows through practice.
What sets me apart is my background in education, curriculum development, and working with learners from different backgrounds. I know how to break information into simple, understandable steps and adapt my teaching style when a student needs additional help.
My lessons are ideal for beginner and intermediate English learners, especially adults who want to improve their English for everyday conversations, work, school, or greater confidence communicating in English.
