About Kenny
For seven years, I have been teaching guitar to students from school and college environments, helping them build a strong foundation while encouraging creativity and personal expression. I believe that every student deserves a learning experience tailored to their individual goals, whether that’s mastering chords, improvising, songwriting, or preparing for performance. My lessons focus on developing essential technical skills—correct finger positioning, chord transitions, rhythm, and timing—along with integrating music theory in a practical, accessible way. I use songs and genres that resonate with students to keep lessons engaging and meaningful, and I encourage creative exploration through improvisation and composition. One highlight of my teaching career was helping a group of students form a band and perform at local venues, nurturing their confidence and teamwork. Beyond technical skills, I emphasize the importance of discipline, patience, focus, and emotional expression, which contribute to growth both musically and personally. I am committed to creating a supportive, patient, and motivating environment where students feel safe to experiment, make mistakes, and develop their skills at their own pace. Whether you want to play casually or pursue advanced musicianship, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My teaching method is about turning inspiration into action—guiding you from that spark of wanting to play Guitar to actually playing with confidence, creativity, and purpose. We start with clear, structured basics: posture, hand positioning, strumming, and fretting. But those fundamentals are always taught in the context of real music.
You won’t spend weeks on drills without knowing why—they’ll be immediately applied to songs that are meaningful to you, whether it’s classic rock, acoustic ballads, funk, or fingerstyle. My goal is for you to understand not only how to play, but how music works—how chord shapes lead to progressions, how rhythm drives feel, and how these elements fit into the songs you love. Communication is at the heart of my teaching. I explain concepts in plain language, avoid jargon, and check in with you regularly to see what’s clicking and what’s not.
I use your feedback to adjust lessons on the spot. Some students need visual aids like fretboard diagrams, while others prefer playing along with backing tracks or using loopers for rhythm work—I adapt to your learning style so the experience is effective and engaging. Learning Guitar shouldn’t feel like decoding a puzzle—it should feel like unlocking a new form of expression. That’s why I often bring in examples from both professional musicians and real-life learners—how John Mayer trained his thumb technique, or how a beginner student overcame a timing issue by changing how they counted beats. These relatable stories show you what’s possible. Beyond just playing, I incorporate essential musician skills: stage prep, tone control, practice planning, reading chord charts or simple notation, and creative play like soloing or jamming over backing tracks. I want you to feel confident in both structured settings (like a band or recital) and spontaneous ones (like a jam or open mic). Whether your goals are casual or ambitious, I help you take them seriously—because every player deserves to feel like their growth matters.
