About Brittany
My love of learning and reading stems from a very young age. I was always the kid begging my parents to go to the library, picking out a pile of books and reading through all of them within days! Book series like Percy Jackson and the Magic Tree House taught me so much about mythology and real-life history that felt so different than the boring old textbooks I was used to. I hope to inspire you in the same way!

With a plummeting literacy rate in America, now more than ever I feel it is vital to pay attention to the development of reading skills in children. I was raised in a household that read books every night before bed, in a generation that incentivized reading books both in and out of the classroom. I plan to implement lessons that use fun and age-appropriate books tailored to what I believe will interest your student.
