About Hila
I am a passionate violin tutor with 7 years of teaching and professional music experience, dedicated to helping students grow as technically skilled, confident, and expressive musicians. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners learning foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for recitals, competitions, and exams.
One of the most rewarding milestones in my career has been guiding students from struggling with posture, technique, or confidence to performers capable of playing with skill, emotion, and expression.
My teaching emphasises strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also fostering creativity, musical interpretation, and expression. I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to provide a comprehensive musical education.
I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, learning style, and goals, creating a supportive, patient, and motivating environment. Teaching violin allows me to inspire students, cultivate confidence, and nurture a lifelong passion for music.

I teach violin with a methodology emphasising motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to develop technically skilled, expressive, and confident musicians. Lessons are tailored to the student’s skill level, goals, and learning style, combining structured technical exercises with improvisation, creative projects, and performance opportunities.
Motivation is central. I guide students to define clear goals, track progress, and celebrate milestones, fostering engagement, perseverance, and self-confidence. Communication ensures lessons are collaborative and interactive, allowing students to ask questions, express challenges, and explore ideas freely, creating a positive and trusting learning environment.
Creativity is integrated into each lesson through improvisation, interpretation, and composition exercises, helping students develop a personal artistic voice and deepen their emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, forming habits that support long-term growth and excellence.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and basic piano, giving students a complete and well-rounded musical education. My methodology nurtures technical skill, artistic expression, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.
