About Sanaa
I used to hate English class. Constantly dragging in 2's, D's, or just falling asleep in the middle of class. I am now an honors student in the subject, and have never scored below an 85/100 on any written assignment I've submitted in college (this includes Non-English classes, such as Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Business, Comm., etc.) I get it, English class and anything writing related can be daunting, especially when looking at that blank paper after reading something you don't care about, then having to write something you care even less about. Using my methods, writing well became second nature to me, and it has for every classmate, friend, and family member I've worked with, even if you have absolutely no interest in the subject.

Tutoring with me, you'll stop dreading English. I aim to teach Kindergarten-2nd year college students how to view essay writing as something fun, rather than something draining. Lessons will be less focused on the academic drag of Shakespeare, and more on the joy of understanding the world around them, especially things students are already passionate about. This is to encourage application skills, which help improve your learning and especially your writing. I provide grammar and spelling lessons, focusing on simplifying potentially complex concepts for students. I will also be helping students become better writers by connecting their lessons with things they are already passionate about (i.e. sports, faith, video games, skincare, etc.) I will provide book recommendations based on your/your students particular interests, strengths, and weaknesses. "Homework" if necessary, will be simple tasks to stimulate critical thinking in reading/writing. If you/your student have a hard time focusing in class or caring about English, I believe I'm the tutor for you. I want tutoring to feel like a fun activity, rather than a punishment or extra school, as we learn better when we're having fun. I am an honors student at university, studying English and Journalism. I've never gotten anything lower than a B+ on an English or Writing assignment.
