About Rachel
I love playing the piano and flute, how we can make beautiful music and learn how you can change it to make others feel different ways and how you can enjoy making your own music! I love playing as a way of releasing emotions, time for myself and how it can be used in many different ways. I want you to love playing the piano and flute like I do, and become the amazing musician you can be.

Piano lessons are for mainly primary school age kids between Year 2 and Year 8 in which lessons are usually 30 minutes. However the more advanced, there is the ability to increase time to 45 minutes. For these lessons, after learning the basics, the integration into scales create a classical grounding which develops into the area of interest such as jazz or contemporary. Playing a variety of pieces creates a larger technique and music theory knowledge.
For older aged students such as adults in which I have experience of teaching as well, with 45 minutes as the more suitable time.
I have completed all of the AMEB/ANZCA Grades, including the Perf.Dip, achieving honours on the piano. Piano is my primary instrument, and I have completed AMEB Grade 4 on the flute. Flute lessons I provide are for mainly beginner flautists, aged between Year 5 and 8, in which a large focus on technique is used to ensure a great sound, dynamics, dexterity and style.
