About Bawanjit
I'm an Assistant Professor of Personality Development and a practicing mental health counselor based in Punjab. I teach Spoken English, Personality Development, and Communication Skills to students and working professionals who want to speak with more clarity and confidence in interviews, classrooms, or everyday conversation.
My approach draws on my psychology background rather than generic scripts: I look at what's actually holding a learner back (vocabulary, grammar, stage fear, or self-presentation) and build lessons around that. Personality development sessions cover body language and presence (posture, walking style, handshake, dressing sense), confidence coaching for interviews, dates, and video calls, and how to read another person's cues and respond well in the moment. I run The Confidence Lab, a personality development practice, and have taught spoken English and led personality development workshops for students aged 15–30.
I'm fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and French, and have prior professional experience in Canada, which shapes how I coach for international communication contexts.

My approach starts with a short diagnostic conversation before any structured teaching. I need to know what's actually holding a person back, whether that's stiff body language, hesitant speech, or just nerves under pressure. From there, each class is built around real practice rather than theory: role-plays for interviews and dates, mock video calls, mirror and recorded feedback for posture and walking style, and conversation drills for reading the other person's cues in real time. A typical class opens with a quick check-in, moves into focused practice on that session's skill, and ends with direct feedback plus a small task to practice before the next class.
What sets me apart is a background that blends personality development training with professional experience in Canada, so I coach with an international lens. How you're read in a room isn't the same everywhere. I work best with college students, job seekers, and working professionals preparing for interviews, dates, networking, or client-facing roles. Less suited to young school children, more built for adults who want results they can use immediately.
