I had the good fortune to meet Josh as a fledgling student of animation during a summer internship at DreamWorks. At the time, I had passion and work ethic, but couldn't yet hack it as an animation professional at a major studio. Josh immediately recognized my potential and generously offered to coach me up on my weaker skill areas (drawing form/structure, shot composition). Though it can be hard to get critique as a young artist, our lessons were never discouraging, and I was able to quickly establish trust and confidence in my work. (He's an exceptionally skilled artist, but I have to add he's also a wonderful artist's counselor, particularly where imposter syndrome is concerned!) After honing in on some of my fundamentals I was able to land my first storyboard revisionist gig at a major studio, and the rest is history!
