About Habiboulaye
Dr. Habiboulaye is an experienced and accomplished professional in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He is the head of the R&D Data Intelligence team at Air Liquide with the qualification of International Senior Expert (ISE). He has a PhD in Machine Learning & Data Mining and over 17 years of experience in hands-on leading roles in AI. He has been managing the implementation of various cutting-edge AI solutions through industrial and healthcare projects. He frequently maintains strong collaborations with academic researchers and industrial experts to explore the next frontiers of AI. Alongside his contributions in industry, he is also a lecturer for l'Université de Technologie de Troyes (UTT, France), Institut de Sciences Mathématiques et Physiques (IMSP, Benin) and African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS). He is also the founder of the non-profit organization AI4Africa.org.

Machine Learning Essentials is 10xAI program. It will cover the key concepts and foundations of AI. The course begins with an introductory lecture on statistical learning theory, emphasizing key supervised learning techniques such as Empirical Risk Minimization and Regularization. Then, it delves into the principles of widely-used algorithms in data science, detailing their implementation. Throughout the course, quizzes and hands-on tutorials provide practical experience, enabling students to apply various Machine Learning methods, including Linear Models, Decision Trees & Ensemble Learning, Support Vector Machines (SVM) and neural networks going from shallow to deep.
Finally, the course includes an overview of Generative AI, focusing on Large Language models enabled by transformers (GPTs), offering students a glimpse into the latest advancements in the field. To consolidate their learning, students will undertake two AI projects as homework assignments.
Basic knowledge of Python is recommended but not required. A preparatory Python course for Machine Learning will be provided if needed.
