About Manuel
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Financial Economics at University College London (UCL), specialising in macro-finance, the study of how financial markets and the real economy interact.
Alongside my research, I teach at MSc level at UCL: I am currently a Teaching Assistant for Options and Derivatives, guiding students through option pricing, hedging strategies, and the mathematics behind them, and in 2024 I held the same role for Advanced Quantitative Finance.

Every lesson is tailored to your level and goals. Whether you are revising for A-Levels, working through a challenging university module, or preparing for professional exams like the CFA or FRM, I adapt the pace, depth, and materials accordingly.
For quantitative topics such as option pricing or stochastic calculus, I focus on building both mathematical rigour and economic intuition. I find that students make the biggest progress when they understand why a model works, not just how to plug in numbers. We will work through theory, then reinforce it with problems until the concepts feel natural.
Lessons are available online via Zoom, or in person. The first lesson is free so we can discuss your objectives, and agree on a plan going forward.
