About Charu
I have always believed that legal education should build confidence as much as knowledge. Throughout my career as a lawyer, researcher and university lecturer, I have seen many capable students struggle not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked guidance on how to think, analyse and communicate like a lawyer.
Teaching allows me to bridge that gap. I enjoy helping students simplify complex legal concepts, strengthen their analytical skills and develop the confidence to apply the law in academic and professional settings. Seeing a student progress from uncertainty to clarity is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I hold a PhD in Law, an LL.M., an LL.B. and am also a qualified Company Secretary. Alongside over 15 years of professional legal experience, I have taught postgraduate law students at university level and continue to mentor law students and young lawyers through my independent legal education initiatives.
Whether you are preparing for A-Level examinations, studying for an LLB or LLM, or looking to improve your legal writing, advocacy or practical legal skills, my goal is to provide a supportive, engaging and personalised learning experience that helps you achieve both academic success and long-term confidence.

The best way to learn law is to understand it, not simply memorise it. My lessons are interactive, practical and tailored to each student's goals, whether that is achieving higher grades, preparing for examinations, improving legal writing, building confidence in advocacy or developing a deeper understanding of legal principles.
Before our first lesson, I discuss your objectives, current level and areas where you need support. I then create a personalised learning plan and adapt my teaching style to suit the way you learn best. I use real case law, practical examples, structured explanations and questioning techniques to help students develop analytical thinking rather than rote learning.
I teach A-Level, undergraduate (LLB) and postgraduate (LLM) students, as well as early-career lawyers seeking to strengthen their practical legal skills. My specialist areas include Business Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Legal Research and Writing, Moot Court preparation, Oral Advocacy and Courtroom Confidence.
Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for dissertation guidance, exam preparation or moot court practice. Every session includes clear explanations, opportunities to ask questions, practical exercises and constructive feedback so that students leave with greater confidence and a clear understanding of the topic.
As a PhD-qualified legal educator, former university lecturer and legal professional with over 15 years of experience, my aim is not only to help students achieve excellent academic results but also to prepare them for the realities of legal practice and lifelong professional success.
