About Ferdos
I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2021 with a 2:1 in BSc Biomedical Science. As a student, I helped refugee students at high schools overcome language barriers and build their confidence. Additionally, I have been a peer mentor for first-year students at Newcastle University, and during this role, I was nominated for peer mentor of the year.

I enjoy breaking down complicated ideas into clear steps and adapting explanations to the way students think. Also, seeing progress as students build confidence and being able to support them whenever they need, without judgement.
My teaching philosophy is centred on meeting students where they are at. I believe every learner is capable of success when they feel supported, understood and challenged at the right pace. My goal is to build confidence while helping students take ownership of their learning.
