About Jeanne
I am a first year PhD student in mathematics (number theory) at the University of Montreal. I have a masters degree in cryptography from the University of Waterloo. I have experience as a teaching assistant for calculus and algebra courses in Waterloo. I have been tutoring high school and university students one-on-one in-person for over a year. I have also been a part-time math teacher in cégep (grade 12 - 1st year uni) for two semesters where I taught calculus and probability and statistics courses.

I teach by asking well-chosen questions that lead students to discover the answer themselves. I get students to think about why what they are doing works instead of only teaching them how to solve a problem. This approach leads to a deeper understanding of the material and the ability to see problems from multiple angles.
I can tutor for most undergraduate-level classes such as
