About Ikko
I have an MA in philosophy and have been teaching various sub-fields in that area for seven years in the Philippines; I am a recent immigrant. I do specialize, and am very comfortable teaching various topics in socio-political philosophy, ethics, and philosophy of mind. Although I do also have a background in teaching introductory philosophy classes, logic, aesthetics, and existentialism.

I approach each lesson, whether in a classroom setting or tutorial, using the Socratic Method, which allows my students to continuously think and rethink their preconceived notions about the topic at hand. I find that this approach is the most effective as it allows for active participation from my student/s, which provides a greater understanding of the topic. At the end of the day, I firmly believe that philosophy is easy to understand and I try to make each lesson easy-to-understand and relatable to the student/s.
