About James
I enjoy meeting and working with people more than anything. I have volunteered in schools before where I found it a pleasure and a privilege to engage with and inspire students of different levels to enjoy learning. Additionally, throughout my higher studies, I worked with new people on a regular basis and so consider myself able to be friendly but professional in a wide variety of social and academic environments. With my teaching, I would firstly aim to fix any gaps there were in your knowledge but then also further your passion for the subject at hand!

Each tutee has different requirements and so my method will be tailored depending on the needs of the student. Generally, I adopt a ground-up teaching style where I attempt to impart a fundamental understanding in the areas that the student needs improved. I typically teach for 1-2 hours in a sitting. I have experience as a freelance tutor in London and also more formal tutoring agencies (with full DBS checks) and thus can adapt to a wide variety of requirements that a student may present. I have most experience teaching Physics and Maths at the GCSE level but, as a Physics Master's graduate, can confidently tutor both at the A-level standard.
