About Desiree
I am a piano tutor with 9 years of experience and a Doctor of Philosophy in Piano Education. I enjoy helping students discover their musical potential through organized lessons and supportive instruction.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, creativity, and clear explanations. I adapt every lesson to individual learning styles so students continue progressing with confidence and enjoyment.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing educational piano music, accompanying choirs, and studying international piano repertoire. These experiences help me create engaging lessons filled with practical musical ideas.

My piano lessons help students understand music through enjoyable learning and structured practice. We study note reading, rhythm, scales, chord patterns, finger independence, pedal control, sight reading, musical dynamics, coordination, and expressive interpretation using practical exercises and engaging repertoire. Every lesson encourages confidence while supporting steady improvement.
As students continue progressing, we explore improvisation, accompaniment styles, duet playing, ear training, recital preparation, musical phrasing, interpretation, and effective practice planning. I provide encouraging feedback that helps learners become more confident, creative, and independent musicians.
My goal is to help students develop both technical ability and artistic expression while enjoying every lesson. Every class builds musical understanding, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for piano.
