About Tessa
My passion for piano began through fascination with melody, harmony, and musical storytelling. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance Studies, where I explored technique, interpretation, and performance development in depth. Over the past 7 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds to build strong and confident musicianship.
I believe every learner progresses at their own pace, so I adapt my teaching approach accordingly. My focus is on patience, clarity, and encouragement to help students grow without pressure. Some learners improve through structured exercises, while others learn better through creative exploration and listening practice. I adjust lessons to ensure every student feels supported and motivated.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring piano literature, composition, and performance styles to keep my lessons engaging and relevant. Staying connected to music helps me bring inspiration and practical insight into every class. My goal is to help students grow not only technically but also emotionally through music. Supporting their musical journey and creativity is the most fulfilling part of my work.

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop both technical control and musical expression. I teach finger independence, rhythm training, sight reading, chord progressions, pedal use, improvisation, and interpretation techniques in a clear and structured way. Lessons focus on helping students understand how music works instead of relying only on repetition. I create a calm and encouraging environment where learners can progress steadily with confidence.
Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s experience level, goals, and musical interests. Beginners receive step-by-step support with note reading, posture, and simple exercises, while advanced learners focus on expressive interpretation, technical fluency, and performance readiness. I include practice routines, duet playing, listening activities, and creative exercises to strengthen musical understanding. Students preparing for performances receive structured guidance to improve confidence and accuracy.
I believe piano becomes meaningful when students connect emotionally with the music they play. My lessons aim to replace stress with enjoyment through patient teaching and clear guidance. Many learners gradually become more expressive and confident as their skills develop. My goal is to help students build strong musical foundations that support lifelong growth and creativity.
