About Sierra
I am a piano tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (Piano). My passion lies in creating dynamic learning environments where students grow through collaboration and shared creativity. While I teach traditional piano skills, my specialty is guiding students in group settings where music comes alive. I love working with duets, ensembles, and band-style keyboard roles that challenge students to listen, adapt, and blend with others. Lessons are designed to build rhythmic groove, teamwork, and the confidence to perform as part of a larger sound. I emphasize not only accuracy but also expression, energy, and stage presence. Over the years, many of my students have gone on to perform in school talent shows, community events, and small local concerts. Seeing them shine in these moments is one of my greatest joys as a teacher. I encourage students to share their progress with an audience, because music is meant to be experienced together. Collaboration is at the heart of my teaching. I create opportunities for students to jam, explore, and push themselves in supportive group settings. My piano teaching methodology emphasizes body awareness, calm focus, and expressive control. I believe music flows most freely when the body is at ease and the mind is clear. My approach blends mindful technique with creativity, so students not only play accurately but also with meaning.
