About Daisy
I’m a passionate vocal coach with over 10 years of experience guiding singers of all ages and skill levels toward stronger technique and deeper artistic expression. My students include teenagers preparing for school musicals and auditions, college voice majors working toward performance degrees, adults returning to singing after a break, and professional vocalists refining their craft. I focus on building a healthy vocal foundation, emphasizing breath control, diaphragm support, proper vocal fold function, resonance tuning, and precise pitch control to develop a sustainable voice. But technique is just the starting point—I work closely with students to help them interpret lyrics, shape phrasing, and deliver emotionally compelling performances that truly connect with audiences. My lessons are interactive and technology-driven, incorporating live recordings for self-assessment, piano and backing tracks for real-time accompaniment, and apps for ear training and rhythmic precision. Creativity is encouraged through songwriting and improvisation, helping students find and develop their own unique voice. Whether your interests lie in pop, musical theater, jazz, soul, or contemporary styles, I tailor every lesson to fit your individual vocal identity and goals. I also provide thorough audition preparation, performance coaching, and guidance on vocal health and recovery. My teaching space is warm, supportive, and structured to empower singers to sing with confidence, authenticity, and joy.

The act of singing is both intimate and expansive—it requires us to go inward for self-discovery while reaching outward to share something meaningful. In my teaching, I emphasize the principles of Grounded Technique, Interpretive Depth, Inclusive Repertoire, and Reflective Practice.
Grounded technique provides the physiological framework for healthy singing. We work on breath anchoring, registration transitions, resonance alignment, and vocal clarity using a range of exercises adapted to the student’s vocal profile and musical goals. I prioritize flexibility so students can move fluidly across genres, from legit musical theatre to contemporary pop or jazz. Interpretive depth is developed through emotional inquiry and text work. I guide students in uncovering character motivation, subtext, emotional beats, and phrasing choices that bring their performances to life.
We also explore how emotion affects vocal tone and how to maintain control without sacrificing authenticity. Inclusive repertoire is vital to broadening not only skill but perspective. I regularly incorporate works by composers of color, women, LGBTQ+ artists, and global song traditions to offer students a well-rounded, socially conscious musical education. We discuss the origins of each piece, the historical or cultural messages within it, and how to approach it with sensitivity and integrity. Reflective practice ties it all together.
My studio culture includes regular check-ins, recorded assessments, and creative goal setting. Students learn how to observe their growth over time, identify what’s working, and adapt strategies with self-compassion and clarity. I believe that each student has a voice not only worth hearing but worth developing in a way that reflects who they truly are. My role is to facilitate that journey with intention, insight, and unwavering respect for the unique path each singer travels.
