About Riva
I am a passionate Violin tutor with 6 years of dedicated teaching experience, having successfully trained around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong technical foundation while encouraging creativity and musical expression.
I begin with essential skills such as posture correction, proper bow hold, finger placement, and tone clarity to ensure students develop confidence from the start.
As learners progress, I introduce scales, shifting techniques, dynamics, and expressive repertoire to enhance their artistry. I personalize each lesson according to the student’s pace and goals, ensuring steady and measurable growth. I also guide students with structured practice routines that maximize improvement outside of class. My unique strength lies in my patient teaching style and ability to simplify challenging techniques into clear, achievable steps.

My violin teaching approach is based on strong communication and understanding how each student learns best. I believe that every student is unique, so I carefully adapt my lessons to match their learning style, pace, and goals. Some students learn quickly through listening and repetition, while others prefer visual demonstrations or written explanations.
I focus on building a strong foundation in posture, bow hold, finger placement, tone production, and rhythm accuracy. Along with violin performance, I teach music theory, scales and arpeggios, sight reading, ear training, rhythm development, and basic harmony.
I use real-life examples such as recital preparation, orchestra rehearsals, competition practice, and exam case studies to show how technical skills are applied in real situations. I also guide students in building daily practice habits and managing stage confidence. My goal is to develop disciplined, expressive, and confident violinists
