About Lianne

I am described by friends as a bubbly, but also a very calming person. I have a passion for teaching because I love to see people grow, be empowered and achieve their goals. I believe that everything in life is about perspective. Things that seem hard can become easy if we change how we perceive the task at hand. Using this mentality I achieved over 90% in my Mandarin exams at the end of my exchange-year in China, a year which began with 'apple' as the only word I could say perfectly in the language. I play piano, flute and draw in my spare time. I love working out, and keeping fit. Collectively these hobbies help me maintain balance and positive spirits which support my part-time studies in Law. I look forward to helping your learning in Mandarin, French and/or English and together surpassing goals!

About the lesson

I offer an innovative, fun and engaging approach to tutoring; passionate about diversity and inclusion, I first establish your unique learning style, together with your academic and personal goals to inform a bespoke successful tutoring programme. I adapt lessons to your study material or can provide a bespoke elementary course if you prefer. Routine-learning and an organised study plan underpin my tutoring programmes which are followed to help us incrementally build your skills, guaranteeing we reach/exceed your goals.

Constantly referring back to established competency criteria as we progress through the tutoring, I ensure your achievements align with official standards of competency.

Obtaining a Chinese language scholarship, First Class Degree in languages and offering consultancy services on China /Mandarin to an international base of over 1200 subscribers, I understand how to make Mandarin language learning and access to China easy and seamless to international communities.
