About Shannyn
Hello! My name is Shannyn, and I am originally from Malibu, CA but now living in London. I am a recent graduate of Boston University, where I got my BA in History and Art History with Honors, and I am currently attending the Sotheby's Institute of Art for a MA in Art Business.
I have been taking art history classes since I was around 14 years old, and have tutored friends and classmates on the subject throughout my career. Since I have both completed a degree in art history and I had internships at blue chip art galleries, I have a very strong knowledge of everything from the Renaissance to KAWS.
Also, I am a very easy-going and patient person, so I hope that my students will feel at ease while they learn. Really looking forward to talking about art with you!

I am very flexible so all sessions will be tailored to the interests of each student. Each session will focus on one era of art history using 3-5 works of art (paintings/sculptures/mixed media pieces) as prime examples from that period. The student and I will engage in fun and lively discussion analyzing visual and design elements, as well as the historical context for each piece. By the end of each lesson, students should be able to successfully identify which era a piece was made, the artist who created it, and analyze work on their own. Lessons can also be supplemented with visits to various London museums (accompanied by myself) for a fun field trip experience.*

Details
Each lesson is £14 per hour. If you would like me to do an in-home lesson or a field trip session, I just ask for the additional cost of public transport.
