  • When did you start practising? How did this passion find you?

I started practising baking and cooking when I was in my early teenage years, and grew a love for English during my school years. My passion began with helping my mother in the kitchen, experimenting with recipes for friends, or discovering how rewarding it is to help others learn. What began as a hobby soon became something much deeper - I found joy not just in creating delicious food (or helping others learn), but also in sharing that knowledge and watching others grow their skills. This passion has stayed with me and continues to inspire me as I teach.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

When it comes to baking and cooking, I'm deeply inspired by chefs and bakers who combine creativity with simplicity. For example, Mary Berry and Nigella Lawson have always influenced me with their approachable styles and innovative flavour combinations.

As for English, I've always been moved by writers like Jane Austen and Maya Angelou, whose works highlight the power of words to shape ideas, inspire imagination, and connect people across cultures.

These influences shape how I teach - I aim to help my students see cooking, baking, or language as creative tools for self-expression.
  • What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

To succeed in baking, cooking, and teaching, I believe several key qualities and skills are essential:

Patience and attention to detail - Whether it's following a recipe precisely or helping a student master a concept, small details make a big difference.

Creativity - Cooking and baking are arts as much as sciences. Being able to experiment, adapt recipes, or find engaging ways to explain a lesson keeps things fresh and exciting.

Strong communication skills - As a teacher, it's important to explain things clearly and encourage students to ask questions and explore.

Organisation and time management - Especially in the kitchen, good planning ensures that everything comes together smoothly. The same applies to structuring lessons effectively.

Passion and empathy - Loving what you do helps inspire others. And being empathetic helps you connect with learners at their level, encouraging and motivating them.

These qualities not only help you grow personally, but also help you create meaningful, enjoyable experiences for your students.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

The most valuable advice I can give is: break your creative project into small, achievable steps, and celebrate each small success along the way.

When we focus only on the final goal, it can feel overwhelming, and that's when motivation fades. But if you stay present with each step - whether it's perfecting a single technique in baking, mastering a new recipe, or improving a small part of your English - you stay connected to the joy of creating.

I also believe in setting aside dedicated time without distractions, even if it's just 15-30 minutes a day, to build consistency.

And lastly, don't be afraid of mistakes - they're part of the creative journey, and often lead to unexpected discoveries!
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

My passion for baking, cooking, and teaching fills me with a deep sense of joy and purpose. When I'm in the kitchen or sharing knowledge with others, I feel creative, focused, and fulfilled.

There's something magical about transforming simple ingredients into something special - or seeing a student's face light up when they understand a new concept. My passion motivates me to keep learning, experimenting, and finding new ways to inspire others.

More than anything, it makes me feel connected - to culture, to tradition, and to the people I share my skills with.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

One of the creative achievements I'm most proud of is creating a unique recipe, hosting a successful cooking or baking workshop, and helping a student achieve a breakthrough in English.

I'm also proud of how I've continuously challenged myself to try new techniques and share what I learn with others. Whether it's perfecting a complex cake design, creating a fusion dish, or designing fun, interactive English lessons, I love finding new ways to express creativity and inspire my students.
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Yes, I've definitely been pleasantly surprised by students - and I think that's one of the most rewarding parts of teaching!

I remember one student who struggled with their speaking skills at first, but with encouragement and practice, they made incredible progress. For example, they were able to speak confidently in English during a lesson.

It reminded me how important it is to believe in our students and give them space to grow at their own pace - because sometimes, their progress can exceed our expectations in the best way.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

I believe the secret to being a great Superprof is combining passion with patience, and always putting the student at the heart of the journey.

For me, it's about creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel safe to try, make mistakes, and grow - whether they're learning to bake a new recipe, cook a dish from scratch, or improve their English. I always aim to bring energy, kindness, and flexibility into my lessons, adapting to what each learner needs.

I see being a Superprof as more than teaching - it's sharing joy, creativity, and confidence, and helping students unlock their potential at their own pace. That's the art of it!
