About Hunter
I graduated with a degree in Biomedical Science and will soon be starting medical school. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a tutor helping students understand challenging science concepts and improve their study strategies. I also scored in the 87th percentile on the MCAT, which strengthened my ability to apply and explain complex scientific material.
I enjoy helping students break down difficult topics into clear, manageable ideas and building their confidence in subjects like biology and chemistry. My goal is not only to help students succeed in their current course but also to develop the study and problem-solving skills they can use in future classes.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorizing information. I start by identifying where a student is struggling and then break complex topics into smaller, manageable pieces. I guide students through problems using questions and step-by-step reasoning so they can build confidence and develop their own problem-solving skills.
A typical session begins by reviewing the student’s goals or assignments, followed by working through practice problems together. I encourage students to explain their thinking so we can identify misunderstandings and strengthen their approach. I also help students develop effective study habits and test-taking strategies for challenging science courses.
