About Eliza
I have been tutoring for around 5 years, ever since high school. I am now in college majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and I hope to go on to medical school and become a doctor. I love reading, drawing, hiking, going on walks, being with my friends and family, and playing with my little dog! Science was my favorite subject in school, and I am so happy to be doing so much of it in college! In my experience, I have tutored a lot of kids, and am proud to say that each and every one of them has improved so much in their learning abilities - even though I don't tutor them anymore, I still talk to a few all the time! As a tutor, I maintain a professional and efficient working environment, where we can focus and practice on what the student is struggling with to improve their skills. However, I also love to get to know my students, and have a personal connection with them as well.

My teaching methods are based on practice, practice, practice! As a tutor (and a student myself), I have learned that the best way to nail anything is to work on it until you feel confident. Because of this, I will curate lesson plans that best fit what my student wants to work on. I work with elementary and middle school students specifically, but am open to helping out early high school students as well! Like I said, I am also a student, so I understand how it can be really hard to do work sometimes - especially with math and science. But my approach is to come at this with fun! Learning doesn't have to be boring, and my goal as a tutor is to lead you into feeling good about the work you are doing and to help you actually enjoy doing it!
