About Jordan

So, my dream is to study Mechanical Engineering at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). However, I wanted to do comic art before that. In my uprising, I can confidently say that I hated math and science for a good period of my life, but after learning the material, it has become one of my favorite pastimes. I worked as a tutor for Calculus and SAT Math under my college counselor at a facility called "CuePREP Training". As I tutor more and more students, who sometimes turn out to be my own peers, I find myself growing alongside them and can constantly find new ways of teaching math.

About the lesson

Imma keep it real with you: Mathway will only take you so far. As a student who grinded through school by copying work, I can tell you firsthand that it is so much easier to pass your math classes by understanding the material rather than asking a computer for the answer. Of course, every student is different. That's why I prioritize building a strong connection between my tutees and I. A teacher can really affect how much a student wants to learn something. Through getting to know their strengths and weaknesses in math, I would pull some of the harder questions to a given subject and tackle them together step-by-step, the same approach can be used if there's a homework packet with difficult material on it. Making the lessons easy to understand would be the #1 focus and doing interactive activities math related can really bring out the enthusiasm in wanting to learn more! The lessons are specified for students in any math class Calculus and below. The main demographic are people not confident in their skills and they just need that little push to achieve greatness. They can use this knowledge for personal projects involving measurements and graphs or if they just need that A in their class :)
