About Olwethuthando
I'm Olwethu from Richards Bay, and I teach because I love watching shy learners start to enjoy English. For three years I've helped primary students prepare for exams and speak without panic, and I’m always moved when a child risks a new sentence and owns it. Giving them space to try—games, stories from their week, mistakes as clues—makes language feel human, not just rules. I teach the way I unwind: playing video games (small goals, quick feedback) and swimming (steady practice, breath control), and I bring that playful patience to every lesson.

My approach is “try it first, tidy it later.” I let students speak or write freely, then we shape grammar and word choice together so confidence grows faster than fear of errors. I teach in English and can scaffold in isiZulu when useful, especially for younger learners.
In a typical lesson we check homework in 5 minutes, spend most of the time on one real-life task (a conversation, a short story, or an exam paragraph), and end with 2–3 quick takeaways to practice before next time. I keep notes simple and share brief feedback so progress stays visible.
Lessons are aimed at primary-level learners who need exam prep, vocabulary building, and speaking practice—especially kids who clam up in class and do better with patient, play-aware tutoring (games and swim analogies help!). We move at their pace, praise effort, and treat mistakes as material to learn from, not marks against them.
