About Mel
I am a year 6 teacher and a mum to two girls. I enjoy spending part of my week with my girls, where we get out to local groups, parks and libraries. The other part of my week I spend in school teaching my year 6 class and supporting other learners through 1-1 tutoring. At the weekend and in the evenings, I try to get to the gym and we walk the dog as a family, as well as attending sports clubs with our 2 1/2 year old.

My Approach I believe every child is unique, and I take time to get to know how they learn best. My calm and supportive manner helps children feel comfortable and willing to take risks in their learning. I focus not only on improving attainment but also on building self-belief, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
