About Rafael

The English courses I offer have several advantages that no major school offers: hours of classes tailored to the participant. Exclusive and personalized dedication of the teacher, with attention focused on the student's objective, in addition to a teaching approach focused on the conversation.

About the lesson

I am a bilingual professional who graduated in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Instrumentation with over 10 years of consolidated experience in Instrumentation, Automation, and Control of Industrial Processes and Analytical Instrumentation in large industries. With the emphasis in the Steel areas, Thermal Power Generation, Utility Distribution, Environmental Monitoring, and Mining.

As a bilingual, I have fluency in the English language, over 10 years of experience in Technical Translation and Proofreading with a focus on the engineering area. Solid knowledge in the translation tools SDL Trados Studio, Wordfast, MemoQ, OMEGAT and Swordfish, and customer portfolio diversified in more than 800 thousand translated words per year. I also act as a private English Teacher.

In Engineering I have been acting for more than 02 years as a teacher in the National Industrial Learning Service – SENAI CETEC – Vitória/ES - Brazil. And in parallel, I act as a Specialist in Technical Translation and Proofreading in the EnglishPortuguese language pair, where I am certified as a PRO Specialized Translator on the ProZ.com Network. An environment constituted fully by qualified professionals in skills and competencies: language source, target language, research, cultural, technical, and professional reliability.

Certification in the General English Program through the Cultural Exchange Program at the International Language Academy of Canada – ILAC. Canadian Homestay was chosen for complete cultural immersion in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I had the unique opportunity to immerse myself in the universe of languages since childhood, where, after years of study and development, I managed to complete more than 25 years of experience and contact with the English language.
