I teach analog and digital audio production for both music and film, with lessons built around real professional practice. My experience includes work on award-winning productions, gold, platinum, and diamond-certified records, Oscar-winning films, and an Emmy nomination. That background allows me to give students practical instruction grounded in the standards of high-level commercial work.
My approach is structured, hands-on, and adapted to each student’s goals. I teach core skills such as signal flow, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, session organization, and critical listening, while also helping students understand the reasoning behind technical and creative choices. Depending on the student’s focus, lessons can also cover analog equipment, hybrid workflows, vocal production, post-production for picture, and professional delivery standards.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student’s current level, goals, and problem areas. From there, we work through targeted concepts using examples, guided exercises, listening analysis, troubleshooting, and project-based application. Some students need a strong technical foundation, while others need refinement, workflow discipline, or advanced feedback on their own work. I adjust the lesson plan accordingly.
