About Sergio
I'm Sergio, and I'll tell you something I genuinely believe — drums might be the easiest instrument in the world to make fun and one of the hardest to keep fun once traditional teaching gets involved.
Because the initial appeal is immediate. You sit down, you hit something, it feels incredible. There's a physical satisfaction to it that almost nothing else matches. Kids know this instinctively. Adults know it too — it's usually why they finally book a lesson after thinking about it for years.
And then somewhere in the process of learning it properly, that feeling starts to fade. The exercises get repetitive. The progress feels slow. The gap between what you're playing in lessons and what you actually wanted to play when you signed up starts to feel pretty wide. And the fun — the thing that brought you there in the first place — quietly disappears.
I've watched it happen and I've spent seven years building a way of teaching that stops it from happening.
Two things made the biggest difference. Going visual — because rhythm is something you can see, and when students can see patterns and timing rather than just try to feel their way to them, everything clicks faster. And building lessons that genuinely feel like something worth showing up for, every single week, regardless of where you are in the learning process.
It works for kids. It works for adults who just want to have fun with it. It works for serious players who want real results. The through line is always the same — lessons that feel good to be in.

Every lesson has an objective that's specific enough to actually mean something and close enough to feel achievable. Not "work on your timing" — something concrete. Something you can point to at the end of the session and say that's where I was, this is where I am now.
Visual learning runs through everything. Before you play a new pattern, you see it. Rhythm grids, visual breakdowns of what each limb is doing and when, reference points that make timing something you can observe and self-correct rather than something you're just hoping you're getting right. It sounds like a small thing until you experience how much faster it makes everything land.
The gamified structure isn't a gimmick — it's just an honest acknowledgment that motivation and progress feed each other. When there are clear wins along the way, students practice between lessons without being told to. When practice happens consistently, progress accelerates. When progress accelerates, the fun goes up. It's a cycle and the way to start it is to make the lessons worth showing up to in the first place.
That part I take pretty seriously. The rest — the actual drumming — ends up taking care of itself.
