About Herbie

I’m Herbie and I’m currently studying jazz at the Royal Academy of Music in London (with a scholarship). I predominantly play jazz (from swing, to fusion to crazy modern stuff), funk, R&B and pop music although I have also played many other styles and found myself in various different musical situations such as playing in a flamenco band with a tap dancer, playing traditional Greek folk music and even classical repertoire with an orchestra. I think it’s very important to be comfortable in a diverse range of musical settings and also appreciate all sorts of different music.

About the lesson

I hope to inspire my students and help guide them on a journey through the vast musical universe no matter what style or genre they may be interested in. I teach complete beginners all the way up to serious pros.

Herbie’s a thoughtful, kind and patient tutor. As a scholarship student at the Royal Academy, his playing is first class, and he makes the lessons fun. Would thoroughly recommend!
