About Selena
I am Selena Whitford, a USA-based professional programming tutor with 8 years of experience in coding education and software training. I focus on helping students become confident and practical problem solvers through project-based learning methods.
I have received the “Technology Innovation Educator Medal 2024” and the “Professional Coding Excellence Award” for helping students achieve success in computer programming and software development studies.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring AI tools, developing creative coding projects, and learning emerging technologies. My teaching style is organized, interactive, and career-focused. I believe coding should be taught through practical understanding and real-world application rather than memorization alone.

Computer programming is one of the most valuable skills in modern education and technology industries. In my online one-to-one live programming sessions, I help students learn coding in a structured, professional, and project-focused environment suitable for K-12, high school, college first-year, and bachelor first-year learners.
I begin with core programming fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students learn how websites are designed, how coding logic works, and how structured problem solving improves development skills. I also teach debugging techniques and logical thinking exercises that help students build confidence from the beginning.
As students progress, I introduce Python programming, SQL database systems, and Java development. Students learn variables, loops, functions, object-oriented programming, and database management concepts through practical examples and guided coding exercises. I also include project-building activities to improve hands-on learning.
In advanced sessions, I cover artificial intelligence basics, C++ concepts, automation tools, and software project development. Students build applications, websites, and coding projects that improve creativity and technical understanding. My goal is to prepare students for both academic excellence and future technology opportunities.
