About Michelle
For the past 20 years I have been working as a professional prop builder for a variety of Theatres and I still love it! I happily received my BFA from York University in Theatre Production many moons ago. I have been teaching in schools, to professional groups and around the world for the past 7 years.

The most powerful thing about theatre is to explore! My teaching mantra is "Experimento!" which means "Let's experiment!" in Spanish. A good deal of time prop making is about creative problem solving, so I tend to focus on thinking about problems and finding creative solutions.
Typically my classes are between 1 to 3 hours and begin with a skills based lessons, in the technique we will be using, then we create. I tend to give students basic parameters but they can choose their subject matter on their own. As they create I will hand out tips and answer questions.

If the distance is much further the travel rate will increase. There may also be a material fee for classes depending on the size of the class and the materials used. Cancellations must be 48 hours in advance as I may have to purchase materials for the course.
