About Liam
I’m a professional singer-songwriter with over 20 years of experience in the music industry. I was a member of the alt-rock band We Are The Ocean, recording four albums, touring extensively across the UK, Europe, the US, and Australia, and performing on major stages including Reading and Leeds as well as in Radio 1’s Live Lounge. After the band, I launched my solo career, releasing original music that explores personal growth, storytelling, and authentic songwriting. I’ve also lectured in songwriting at degree level, sharing my experience with students and helping them develop their skills and creative voice. Some career highlights include touring with Muse, performing at festivals and international tours, and having my music featured on the Radio 1 A and B lists. I bring this wealth of experience into my lessons, guiding students to write with confidence, creativity, and professionalism.

A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, though I can adapt the length depending on the student’s preference and concentration span.
I have over 20 years of professional experience as a songwriter and performer, and I also lecture in songwriting at degree level, giving me a strong understanding of how to guide learners from beginners to advanced songwriters.
These lessons are suitable for anyone aged 16 and over who wants to improve their songwriting, whether they’re complete beginners, aspiring artists, or experienced writers looking to refine their craft.
