About Dave

Hi, I’m Dave! I’m a professional singer, songwriter, and vocal coach with over 15 years of experience in music and teaching.

I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Music from HEMU Lausanne (Switzerland), specializing in voice, performance, and composition.

Throughout my career, I’ve performed internationally at festivals, concerts, and theatrical productions, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, and have worked across a wide range of styles, from pop and rock to soul, jazz, and contemporary music.

Alongside performing and writing my own music, I’ve spent years helping singers of different ages and experience levels develop their voices and artistic confidence.

As an active performer and songwriter, I bring real-world experience into my teaching, whether we’re working on vocal technique, preparing for a performance, developing an original song, or improving a studio recording.

I believe that good vocal coaching should be both technically effective and creatively inspiring. My approach is supportive, practical, and adapted to each student’s voice, personality, and goals.

I teach in English, Italian, and French, both online and in person in Los Angeles.

About the lesson

Looking to improve your singing, gain confidence, or develop your own music?

Whether you’re a complete beginner, an experienced singer, or an aspiring recording artist, I’ll help you develop your voice and reach your musical goals.

My lessons are personalized to your needs, musical interests, and experience level. We can work on:

* Vocal technique: range, breath control, resonance, register transitions, and vocal flexibility.
* Singing your favorite songs with better pitch, control, expression, and confidence.
* Performance preparation, interpretation, and stage presence.
* Artistic development, Songwriting, composition, and developing your own artistic style.
* Vocal recording techniques and preparing original songs for release.

I combine practical vocal exercises with direct application to the songs you love or the music you’re creating. My goal is to help you understand your voice, develop healthy and reliable vocal habits, and become a more confident, expressive singer.

Lessons are available online and in person in Los Angeles. All levels and musical styles are welcome!

Your first trial lesson is free, so we can get to know each other, explore your voice, and discuss your goals.

I started working with Dave because I wanted to learn not only how to sing but also how to write my own songs. From the very first lesson he made me feel comfortable and encouraged. His guidance on rhythm, stressed syllables, and fitting lyrics to melodies has been invaluable. Dave is a patient and creative teacher who takes time to understand his students’ goals. I truly recommend him to anyone looking for a teacher who cares deeply about helping you grow and express yourself as an artist!

I had some experience with singing before, but I wanted to improve my technique and style. Dave has a sharp ear and always notices the little details that make a big difference. He knows how to push me in the right way without ever making me feel pressured. My range and control have improved a lot since working with him.
