About Connor
I began learning web development in 2018 after working in retail for several years and feeling the need to move onto something more fulfilling and challenging. I spent time learning on my own, but also with a small local community of developers which greatly accelerated my progress and my motivation. With the help of the developers around me, I was able to go from zero to getting paid work in about 6 months of hard work. Doing this taught me the power of community and having other motivated people to work with, which is something that I have helped to provide for hundreds of students over the last 4 years as an instructor at Bay Valley Tech Code Academy.

As a self-taught programmer myself, I understand how intimidating it can be to learn software development and how easy it can be to fall into self-doubt and impostor syndrome.
