About Troy
I am a Father of 8 children, ages 13-27. I served in the US Air Force and am now a Program Manager at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and tutored math while in college.
Over the last 15+ years, I have taught my children their math lessons ranging from basic math up through Calculus; however, I am most comfortable with Precalculus and below.

I am interested in being a math tutor for middle school to high school students who are struggling with math from basic arithmetic to Precalculus.
Typically, if I am reteaching a lesson that a student is having difficulties understanding, I would do the following:
1. Review the key words and concepts of the lesson, ensuring good notes are taken for later referencing.
2. Work out all the example problems in the lesson.
3. Work through a few of the exercise problems in the lesson, covering a variety is variations that the student will encounter.
4. Encourage the student to work as many of the problems as they are comfortable with to help get the concepts of the lessons learned.
5. Review any of the problems the student was having trouble with.
