About Egor

My career in C++ programming spans over 8 years, for most of which I was involved in work on video game projects built with Unreal Engine. That includes such acclaimed titles as Atomic Heart, Crysis 2 Remastered and The Quarry. The list of my responsibilities included optimizing rendering code, implementing full gameplay features and working on tools for game artists and designers. I rely on this background to provide every student with essential skills for achieving success in this highly competitive field.

About the lesson

In my programming lessons I keep the balance between fundamental theory and practical day-to-day skills, both of which are needed for someone aiming to become a specialist that excels in their industry of choice.

No matter the level of complexity of the selected topic, my method ensures that by the end of the course the student will acquire not only an understanding of how a technology or concept works, but also the best practices for applying it to solving real-world problems, as well as how they can do the research on their own to acquire a better understanding of the topic in the future.

I teach both beginner and advanced level students. For students that are only beginning their programming journey, I start by introducing them to a toolkit that is necessary for any successful project, then I teach universal programming concepts, for which C++ is a great platform, then finally we move on to advanced language features. To ensure that the student is engaged in learning and is able to absorb new material, they are encouraged to complete take-home assignments in the form of practical programming tasks.
