About Jennifer
I am a Psychology graduate with a BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS accredited) degree, and I am currently undertaking specialist postgraduate training to become a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist.
My main areas of interest are psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory, personality disorders, narcissistic personality traits, attachment and the ways in which early relationships and experiences can influence personality and relationships in adulthood.
Alongside my academic background, I have completed formal training in counselling skills and have experience supporting individuals through a bereavement organisation. This has strengthened my ability to listen, communicate sensitively and explain complex psychological ideas in a clear and approachable way.
I am particularly passionate about making psychodynamic concepts accessible and helping students develop a deeper understanding of the theory rather than simply memorising information. I also understand the demands of studying psychology at university level and can support students with academic writing, critical thinking, essays and dissertation work.
I offer a professional, supportive and non-judgemental learning environment and tailor sessions to each student's individual goals and level of knowledge.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, engaging and tailored to the individual. I specialise particularly in Psychodynamic theory, personality disorders and narcissistic personality traits. I enjoy helping students understand complex psychological concepts in a clear and accessible way.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the British Psychological Society (BPS) and I am currently undertaking further training to become a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. My particular areas of interest include psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory, personality development, attachment, defence mechanisms, unconscious processes, narcissism and personality disorders.
Lessons are typically one hour and are adapted to the needs and level of each student. Rather than simply teaching material to be memorised, I encourage discussion, reflection and critical thinking, helping students make connections between psychological theory, research and clinical concepts.
I can also provide academic support with psychology essays, assignments and dissertations, including developing research questions, structuring arguments, understanding psychological literature, critical analysis and improving academic writing.
My lessons are suitable for undergraduate psychology students, counselling or psychotherapy students, and anyone studying psychodynamic theory or personality disorders. I can also offer educational sessions for individuals who would like to better understand concepts relating to narcissistic personality traits, narcissistic relationship dynamics and the psychological impact of emotionally harmful relationships.
