About Shane
I am passionate about making English accessible to others and have always been interested in different cultures, coming from three myself. As for my hobbies, I enjoy reading, anime, playing video games, and travel! I too, am currently learning a new language, so I understand how overwhelming and challenging it is to do alone. What may work for someone may not work for another, so it is important to me that we discuss your preferences beforehand and I will always try to make our conversations relevant to you. P.S. I am also pretty fluent in Tagalog (Filipino). There was no option to showcase this in the other languages tab!

About the lesson

The initial lesson (free 30-minute session) will be an introduction and conversation around what your goals are and what you may expect from our meetings. I am happy to suggest materials to set as 'homework' so you may continue to engage outside of our lesson and we can review these together. Ultimately, we'll aim to make our lessons relevant to you. For instance, if your reason for learning English is to converse more smoothly with your English-speaking friends, we can role play how to hold engaging conversations. Or if you're at a beginner level but would like to use vocabulary you have been learning from language apps/books more practically, we can practise how and when to use essential phrases. While I have yet to have direct experience teaching English, I have had a range of experience and worked with various ages. Of course, you may request to see my resume. Further, I will be moving to Korea to teach in a private school (hagwon) next year.
