About Maddy
I am currently studying Psychology as a degree with hopes to do a PhD. I have A levels in Biology, Maths and Psychology as well as 13 A*-B grade GCSEs. I have experience tutoring through a charity called Jacari that teaches English to underprivileged children. I helped with spelling and writing for a young boy and watching him develop and improve was a source of great pride for me.

I believe that lessons should be interactive and fun. Involving the student in their learning and shaping the lessons around their interests leads to better results and nurtures their passion for the subject. I teach my students how to work independently so that they can extrapolate the skills they’ve learnt with me to other areas of school and life. Through my Psychology degree I have gained a deep understanding of how children’s cognitive abilities develop, how memory works and which teaching techniques are most effective for learning.
