About Elizabeth

Hi, I’m Elizabeth, a passionate (and very friendly!) Psychology tutor currently studying Psych at the University of Queensland.

I graduated with a 96+ ATAR and received the Subject Prize for Psychology, alongside achieving over 95% across all of my subjects. I love teaching and am genuinely passionate about helping students to do their best!

Psychology is a BIG subject: lots of terminology, content, and very specific expectations around how to apply your knowledge in exams and assignments.

That’s where I come in.

I specialise in:
- breaking down complex theories into clear, memorable ideas
- helping students apply their knowledge (not just memorise it)
- teaching how to structure responses to meet QCAA marking criteria

Additionally, my experience in cognitive science has taught me a lot about the best ways to study to make the most of your time: it's my goal to use that knowledge to help students create study plans that work for them.

Just as importantly, I’m known for being warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. My goal is always to create lessons where you feel comfortable asking questions, building understanding, and actually enjoying the process!

About the lesson

All of my lessons are tailored to exactly what each student needs: whether that's understanding content, refining assignments, or revising for exams.

Specifically, my lessons include help with:
- Understanding key psychological theories and studies
- Breaking down difficult concepts into simple, usable knowledge
- Structuring answers to meet marking criteria
- Assignment support and feedback
- Building effective study habits for content-heavy subjects

Lastly, I give all my students access to my 40-page Year 12 Psychology notes covering the most important content that I used to score top of my class on the final exam.

Whether you're aiming for top marks or just want to feel more confident keeping up with the content, I’d love to help.
