About Sharin
I’m Sharin, a Psychology teacher, examiner and founder of PsychExcel, with over 15 years’ experience teaching Psychology in the UK and internationally.
I have taught at leading schools including Surbiton High School and Harrow International School Hong Kong, where I spent eight years as Head of Psychology. Alongside teaching, I have worked as an Edexcel A Level Psychology examiner, giving me a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for and where students commonly lose marks.
I hold a BSc in Psychology from UCL, an MA in Educational Psychology and a PGCE, and have experience teaching GCSE, A Level and IB Psychology.
My aim is not simply to help students memorise content, but to develop their understanding, improve their exam technique and teach them how to communicate their knowledge effectively in an exam.
Whether a student is struggling with Psychology, aiming to improve their grade or working towards an A/A*, I provide supportive, focused tuition tailored to their individual needs.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student, focusing on clear understanding of Psychology alongside strong exam technique.
Lessons combine explanation of key content, active recall, application, exam-question practice and detailed feedback, with particular attention to assessment objectives and what examiners are looking for.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are available online but they can be longer if the student requires it.
I have over 15 years' experience teaching Psychology in the UK and internationally, including eight years as Head of Psychology at Harrow International School Hong Kong. I have also worked as an Edexcel A Level Psychology examiner, giving me valuable insight into how students can turn their knowledge into higher-scoring exam answers. I hold a BSc in Psychology, an MA in Educational Psychology and a PGCE.
I teach GCSE, A Level and IB Psychology, supporting students with course content, revision, exam technique, essay writing and preparation for assessments and final examinations.
