About Abbie
Since studying for my Psychology A-Level in 2018, I have developed a passion for the subject. I went onto study it for 3 years as a degree and fell further in love with the subject and I aim to use my knowledge as a career by supporting students. During my degree I learnt all about different areas of psychology in depth, including biopsychology, developmental psychology and mental health (and much more), and succeeded in achieving excellence in my exams and assignments. I am currently training to be a therapist as well which shows my passion for working with young people too. Therefore, I have experience working in a 1:1 context with young people, and have developed skills to adapt to different student’s learning styles and needs. I am able to build a professional relationship, where we can work efficiently together and achieve your goals.

My approach as a tutor is collaborative, supportive and constructive. My aim is to empower students to develop ways of learning which suit their needs and interests, and building confidence in the student’s ability to learn and achieve their goals. I will always consider the student’s personal goals and their style of learning when working together and will accommodate a productive environment that suits their needs. We will work together to identify gaps in knowledge and areas of strength to ensure our time is the most useful it can be together.
